Horsburgh Light House Trip - 16-17 April 2011 - Team "Rong De"

Was invited by Vince to join him on a Horsburgh Trip with Team "Rong De" captain by his fishingkaki whom also his dad's Buddy Ah Chuan. It was my first time on board swift lady and indeed the skipper Anthony had lots of wonderful spots.

2 x Cobia ( 6-7kg)
2 x Sting Ray (4-5kg)
4 x Red Snapper (3-5kg)
Some other fishes include : Baby Barracuda, Spanish Flag Snapper, Bamboo Shark, Groupers, Parrots, Redbelly Yellowtail Fusilier and etc..

I got around 11 decent fishes but none of it was greater then 2kg with an average of 1kg each.

Just 1st hour into the first spot. we were all greeted by Spanish Flag Snapper and Parrots.

At night, it was time for the monster fishes to play. 2 Cobia and 2 Stingray

Ah Chuan the captain with the biggest "scaled" fish which he won SGD$80

Upcoming Jigging trip to TU light house

Will have a upcoming trip this month end which is on the 30 April 2011 to TU lighthouse near Desaru.

Date unknown. Active; focal plane 25 m (82 ft); three white flashes every 15 s. 25 m (82 ft) round fiberglass tower mounted on a square platform supported by piles. Entire lighthouse is white. This light marks the beginning of the passage through the Straits for ships arriving from the South China Sea. It is very similar in design to the Selatan lighthouses at the other end of the Straits. Located on a shoal about 13 km (8 mi) east of Kampong Punggai. Accessible only by boat. Site open, tower closed. Admiralty F1821; NGA 21186.

Night Trip to Southern Island

Receive a call from Engkeat,
Engkeat: Lau Peng jio go his friend boat leh ... got big gao one wor.. Want to go ???
Me: okok. How many pax?
Engkeat: Small boat wor.. only 5 person can go.. no toliet.. Fish from 6+ till next day morning.. anytime also can.
Me: okok.. so left only few slot right? then okie loh.


On the day itself... Engkeat fetches us to west coast to have dinner before going to penjuru to boat the boat.
Weather was not too good.. Whole night Drizzling.. water was cold. Anyway below is the catches.

The Returns Of The Knights - April 2011

The Knights will be BACK IN ACTION IN April 2011 after a 1 month rest (Non Fishing) from Knights (Ming De and Weng Hoe) due to reservist - National Service.
